The Malt of the Month is a CSA (community supported agriculture) style project that allows us to connect New England farmers with New England home brewers. This year we are offering the same great deal. 100 pounds of base malt and 30 pounds of specialty malts. All local. All organic. Our base malts have unique and wonderful malt characteristics all on their own. Our specialty malts will continue to try to push the limits. Our increased malting capacity this year will allow us to experiment even more with unique grains and ways of roasting, smoking, and caramelizing those grains. Our 2011 Members have spoken and they want more off-centered malts that will push their creative instincts as brewers. We’ve got Oats, Spelt, Emmer, and Grain Sorghum just to name a few.
We will only be selling 100 MotM Shares this year. Sign up is here on our website from March 1-July 1, 2012.
